Last Saturday, a few friends and I decided to have a girls night in.
That’s right! And, by drinks, I mean we turned it into a whiskey party! We each had to come up with a whiskey based cocktail for the night. We brought all of the ingredients we would need and took turns making them throughout the night.
First up was Blackberry Whiskey Lemonade. It was super refreshing. I loved the blackberry simple syrup along with a garnish of fresh rosemary.
Next drink of the night was a Rosemary Pear Maple Leaf Cocktail. The recipe calls for peaches, but my friend made it with pears. The simple syrup for this cocktail was infused with rosemary and maple. Yummm 🙂
What was next? Kentucky Dirty Cocktail. If you like bourbon and iced tea (sweet tea for me), then this is the drink for you! One subtle ingredient is peach schnapps. I wouldn’t say that I love peach schnapps, but I don’t hate it either. In this drink, though, it was a really nice addition.
Last, but not least, I made an Apple Cider Whiskey Cocktail. It was AMAZING!!! This drink is so easy to make and perfect for those cold and/or gloomy days when you just want something warm and comforting.
All in all, it was a successful girls night in 😉 What could be better than cocktails, comfy clothes, yummy food, face masks, card games plus all of the other fun shenanigans that happen when you get together with some of your best friends?!
What’s your favorite whiskey cocktail?
